Many gyms offer free passes, so you can try their facilities before becoming a regular, or you can use your pass to workout for free during your trip. Before committing to one gym, or buying a pricey day pass, be sure to get a guest pass from these six top-ranked gyms found across the nation.
Contrary to what its name suggests, LA Fitness has more than 500 locations in the U.S. and Canada, so there’s a good chance there’s one in your neighborhood. Get a free two-week pass to try this gym to see if it fits your workout style. This offer is only available to nonmembers, and you’re eligible to use it only once during a six-month period. Guests must be at least 18 years old, or at least 14 years old and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Anytime Fitness offers a free seven-day pass to its over 2,500 gyms around the world. If seven days doesn’t satisfy your workout craving, you can log in to their website via your preferred social network to double the duration of the offer.
Gold’s Gym is a chain with more than 700 locations around the world. The company offers a free pass to try out the facilities at your local gym for up to seven days . Keep in mind that the duration of the free pass varies by location and is valid only at participating gyms.
Bally Total Fitness
Get in shape by giving your local Bally Total Fitness a try with a free seven-day pass. You must be at least 18 years old and a local resident to qualify for this offer, so this won’t work for travelers.
Life Time Fitness
Enjoy one week of free workouts at one of over 100 Life Time Fitness centers in the U.S. This offer is available to people who haven’t had a membership in the past 12 months, and who are residents in the area where the gym is located. One free trial offer is valid for an individual, couple or family, but the primary member must be at least 21 years old. Life Time Fitness requires that you meet with a member engagement advisor before you use the pass.
Visit one of Snap Fitness’ more than 1,400 locations for a 30-day pass to try out their gym facilities. Pay $8.95 to have a “Smart Card” shipped to you, then enjoy 24/7 access to your local Snap Fitness. You must be a year-round local resident who is at least 21 years old to use this offer, and passes are limited to one per household. Current and previous Snap Fitness members are not eligible for this promotion.

Fitness apps provide users with hundreds of workouts. They also can track activity and diet and provide an assortment of motivational tools.
